Even the smallest businesses produce carbon emissions - whether through powering your properties, running your vehicles or via your supply chain.

Everyday business transactions create carbon emissions. These make up your carbon footprint. Our pilot is a great place to start if you’re not sure how to kick-off your climate journey. It could help you to understand your emissions, what activities produce them, and what actions you could take which may help to reduce your impact.

Initially, we’re trialling the app with up to 500 customers. We’ll use feedback to understand how we can develop it further.

Our app helps you track your carbon footprint and discover actions you could take to reduce your impact on the environment.

• We’ll review your transactions to calculate your estimated carbon footprint
• Get a view of your emissions over time and compare month-on-month
• See which transactions are contributing most to your carbon emissions to understand where you could take action
• View suggested actions you could implement in your business to help you reduce your impact
• Learn more about managing your impact and get support with your climate journey

Eligible businesses can apply to join the pilot of our carbon tracker app. We’ll initially be piloting the app for 2 to 3 months with up to 500 businesses.

We’re looking for businesses who care about the environment, want to understand the impact they’re having and learn more about carbon footprint.

To apply, you will need to:

• Have a AIB Trust Business account and be registered for Online Banking
• Operate in one of the following sectors and sub-sectors:
  • Manufacturing (Textiles/Food and Drink/Construction/Building Materials)
  • Transport (Automotive Sales/Maintenance and Repairs/Automotive Rental/Transport and Logistics)
• Have an annual turnover of less than £2m
• Be either a sole trader, partnership or limited company registered and/or with your principal place of business in the UK
• Have an iPhone 6 or above
